In my own term it means automation of repetitive, daily task. As an accountant, finance person or any field you are in that have a close relation numbers, you cannot runaway from repetitive work.
SAP scripting functions are very similar to Microsoft Excel Macro. Thus, if you are familiar with Microsoft Excel Macro, you won't have much problem when it comes to SAP scripting.
